Since I remember remembering, the only way to make sense of the world was through stories. From understanding people to appreciating locations, stories were the only way to communicate.
Yes, too many times I was just communicating was what a grand adventure it would be to go out on a date with me, but that's also just part of a larger story.
My second adult paying job was writing video game reviews for an online magazine. It led to practicing the Dark Arts of persuasion for a large European online advertiser. Then, video game development.
I produced reviews that were quoted on the boxes of terrible games I'd enjoyed. I worked on the marketing for the people who brought the talking emoji ads to Europe. Sorry.
I wrote, designed, and directed a handful of commercial video games that critics loved. Sales? Not so much.
In my current incarnation, I get to work with insanely talented people driven by passion and powered by good old insanity. Our stories are going to change the world. We meant, it, for real.
And that wasn't even my final form yet. I have recentlydipped my toe into the consulting world. I moved to the USA. After a disastrous end to a previous venture, I decided to put as much effort into building myself as I do my work.
Let's see how that ends.
